The HJC RPHA 71 combines a fixed full-face shell with an internal sun shield for mixed road journeys. It is worth comparing for commuting and touring when you want integrated shade without a lifting chin section. The model name also distinguishes its visor and communication fittings from earlier RPHA helmets.
HJC specifies its PIM Evo composite shell and a multi-density EPS liner. The RPHA 71 Carbon is a separately identified variant, so check the exact product rather than treating every finish as carbon construction. Comfort and fit remain personal; a material description does not establish which helmet suits your head.
The RPHA 71 sun-shield mechanism offers three depth settings. Try the setting with your normal glasses and check clearance before riding. HJC lists the HJ-V12 internal shield and HJ-40 outer visor for this model. Neither is the same component as the anti-fog insert shown in the gallery.
Operate the push-and-release visor lock with gloves. The manufacturer describes washable lining and cheek pads, plus glasses grooves. Remove and refit comfort components only as instructed; the impact liner is not a comfort adjustment that should be cut or reshaped.
HJC lists second-generation SMART HJC equipment for the RPHA 71, including 21B and 50B systems sold separately. Check the exact unit and fitting kit rather than carrying an older installation across solely because it shares the HJC name. Bring your glasses and intended intercom requirements to a fitting.
Visit our showroom with your riding glasses and gloves. We can help assess the HJC RPHA 71 fit or check the details of a replacement component before you choose.
