Motorcycle Helmet & Visor Bags

Keep your riding equipment organised with motorcycle helmet bags and visor carriers for storage, travel and days away with the bike. Compare soft bags, padded carriers and backpack designs by their internal space, lining and carrying options. Allow for your helmet's shape, fitted accessories and any spare visor you want to take.

Choose how you want to carry your helmet
Soft helmet storage bags
A simple soft bag is useful for keeping a helmet separate from other belongings during storage. Check the fabric, closure and internal room. Treat it as a storage layer and read its stated features rather than assuming it provides the cushioning of a padded carrier.
Padded helmet carriers
For carrying a helmet between home, transport and an event, compare the lining, padding and handles. Look at how widely the bag opens and whether you can lift the helmet in and out without catching the visor or trim on the zip.
Helmet backpacks
A backpack format changes how the load is carried when walking. Compare the straps, access and storage layout, and establish whether the helmet sits inside or uses a dedicated carrying arrangement. Check the manufacturer's intended use before treating it as riding luggage.
Separate visor carriers
A visor bag provides a dedicated place for a spare shield. Check its dimensions against the visor's curve and depth, especially for larger or unusually shaped shields. Keep the visor away from loose keys, tools and other items that could mark its surfaces.
Allow space for the complete helmet
Compare the bag's stated capacity or dimensions with your helmet, including a peak, spoiler or fitted intercom where relevant. A tight closure is a reason to reassess the fit, not to force the zip. Consider whether the manufacturer expects any accessories to be removed for transport.
Large adventure peaks and external communication units can change the space required. If choosing a bag alongside a new motorcycle helmet, assess the actual combination rather than relying on the helmet's size label alone.
Decide where the spare visor will go
Some helmet bags include a separate visor pocket. Spada's Rev.2 helmet bag is one example with a soft-lined interior and dedicated visor storage. Check that the pocket accommodates your shield and keeps it separate from the helmet and other belongings.
A standalone carrier can be useful if the helmet is worn while travelling and only the spare visor needs packing. Browse motorcycle visors by exact fitment, then choose storage that accommodates the selected shield without bending it into an unsuitable shape.
Compare the bag with your travel routine
For short walks, handles and convenient access may matter most. For longer transfers, consider how the loaded bag works alongside your other motorcycle luggage. Check external pockets, carrying straps and the space the empty bag takes up when stored.
Read any weather-resistance claim carefully. Padding and a soft lining do not by themselves establish waterproofing. A carrying bag also should not be treated as protection against a crash, a dropped helmet or theft.
Store clean, dry equipment
Follow the helmet's care instructions before putting it away, and let damp components dry as directed. Keep the inside of the bag free of grit and separate it from dirty riding kit. Use suitable helmet cleaning products where approved, then follow the bag's own cleaning guidance.
Check the bag with the equipment you carry
Bring your helmet and spare visor to Moto Central in Wolvey to compare suitable carrying options. Tell us about any fitted peak or intercom so these can be included when checking the space you need.
