SAS-TEC

Moto Central's current SAS-TEC collection contains three pre-selected armour kits rather than the manufacturer's entire protector catalogue. Two five-piece sets combine shoulder, elbow and back inserts, while the smaller kit contains protectors for shoulder, elbow and knee positions.
These are replacement or upgrade inserts for compatible motorcycle clothing. Choose the kit by its exact contents, protector shape and the pockets built into your garment.

Compare the three SAS-TEC kits
Five-piece armour kit
This set contains two shoulder protectors, two elbow protectors and one back protector. It suits a compatible jacket with all five correctly shaped pockets.
Ladies armour kit
This is another five-piece shoulder, elbow and back set, presented for compatible women's motorcycle clothing. Confirm the actual pocket dimensions rather than relying on the gender label alone.
Shoulder, elbow and knee kit
The smaller set covers joint positions and does not replace a back protector. Check the supplied quantity and intended body area on the product listing before ordering.
Not a universal bundle
SAS-TEC manufactures many protector shapes and levels, but only these three kits are included here. Compatibility cannot be assumed from the SAS-TEC name or foam colour.
How SAS-TEC protectors work
SAS-TEC specialises in viscoelastic soft-foam protectors. The material is designed to remain flexible in normal use while absorbing and distributing impact energy during the relevant laboratory test. Exact protection level, coverage type, thickness and temperature test markings remain product-specific.
Shoulder, elbow and knee protectors fall within the EN 1621-1 framework, while a back protector uses EN 1621-2. A kit can therefore contain components assessed for different body areas. Check the approval marking on each supplied protector instead of applying one claim across the whole set.
Measure before ordering: remove your existing inserts, note their orientation and compare their length, width, curvature and body-area markings with the replacement kit. Do not cut, fold or stack certified protectors to force them into a pocket.
Installation and fit
Place each insert in its intended pocket with the marked face and orientation positioned as instructed. Close the pocket fully, put the garment on and adopt a normal riding posture. Shoulder and elbow pads should remain centred over the joints, while the back protector should lie flat without pressing into the neck.
Protector inserts do not provide abrasion resistance by themselves. They need compatible motorcycle clothing to retain them correctly, and the garment's own certification should be checked separately.
Why buy SAS-TEC armour from Moto Central?
Moto Central shows the three live kits with their actual contents and catalogue images, making it easier to separate the five-piece jacket sets from the smaller joint-protector kit. Our UK team can help compare pocket measurements or existing inserts when compatibility is uncertain.
Common questions
Does every kit include a back protector?
No. The two five-piece kits include back, shoulder and elbow protection. The smaller kit covers shoulder, elbow and knee positions.
Will SAS-TEC armour fit any jacket?
No. Pocket outlines, sizes and orientations vary. Match the protector dimensions and garment guidance before ordering.
Can ladies armour be chosen by normal clothing size?
Use the exact garment pocket and protector measurements. A general clothing size or gender label is not enough to confirm compatibility.
Can the inserts stay in during washing?
Follow the garment care label. Remove the armour before washing whenever the clothing instructions require it, then refit each piece correctly.
