What is Shoei PFS?

Shoei PFS, or the Shoei Personal Fitting System, is an in-store service designed to fine-tune the fit of a Shoei helmet to your individual head shape. Moto Central has offered the service since March 2024, with trained team members carrying out each fitting at our Leicestershire showroom.

A helmet should feel securely snug without creating painful pressure points. Standard sizing is an important starting point, but head shape and proportions vary from rider to rider. Shoei PFS uses detailed measurements and model-specific fitting data to identify the most suitable shell size and any additional interior padding required.

What happens during a Shoei PFS fitting?

A fitting normally takes around 30 minutes. A trained member of the Moto Central team measures your head in four places and enters the results into Shoei's fitting system. The system then recommends suitable shell-size options and identifies where model-specific padding may improve stability and comfort.

We will carry out trial fittings with the recommended padding, check the helmet's position and movement, and discuss how the fit feels before any pads are fixed permanently. The aim is a secure, even fit that remains comfortable for the way you ride.

How much does Shoei PFS cost?

A Shoei PFS fitting currently costs £50. This includes the measurement session, use of Shoei's fitting system, trial fitting and installation of the recommended PFS padding. If, after the consultation, you decide the service is not right for you, Moto Central will not charge the fitting fee.
