Motorcycle Knee & Elbow Sliders

Match the slider to its attachment system

Separate external sliders from impact armour

A knee slider sits on the outside of compatible leathers and provides a replaceable contact surface. It is a different item from a knee protector positioned inside the garment. The same distinction applies at the elbow.

If you need internal impact protection, browse knee protectors or elbow protectors and check the garment's pocket and compatibility requirements. An external slider should not be treated as a substitute for the specified armour.

Check the kit contents before replacing worn parts

Read whether the listing supplies a pair, one side, a wear piece or a complete mounting kit. Compare the part code with your suit documentation and existing component. This is particularly useful where a manufacturer has introduced successive slider systems with similar names.

Inspect the mount and surrounding garment as well as the worn slider. Follow the replacement instructions, and obtain advice if the fastening area is damaged. A new wear piece cannot resolve damage to the material that holds it in place.

Choose with your leathers and event in mind

When buying one-piece motorcycle suits or two-piece suits, consider which sliders are supplied and how replacements are identified. Retain the model information so ordering the correct wear parts later is straightforward.

For track use, check the organiser's current requirements for permitted equipment and slider materials. Replace worn components in line with the manufacturer's guidance rather than waiting for the mount or garment to become exposed.
