Compare motorcycle GPS trackers at Moto Central. The current range centres on wireless Monimoto trackers that use movement detection, a paired key fob, cellular connectivity and a mobile app to alert the owner and provide location information.
A tracker does not physically stop a motorcycle being moved. It is best treated as one part of a layered security setup alongside a suitable lock, sensible parking and any other security measures appropriate to the bike.
Monimoto 7 or Monimoto 9?
Monimoto 7
This model measures 94 x 61 x 19 mm, weighs 95 g and uses two lithium AA batteries. Monimoto publishes battery operation of up to 24 months and an IP65 protection rating.
Monimoto 9
This model measures 93 x 38 x 15 mm, weighs about 60 g and uses a rechargeable 900 mAh lithium-polymer battery. Monimoto publishes up to 12 months per charge and an IP68 rating.
Automatic arming
Both models use a paired Bluetooth key fob. Keep the fob with the rider so the tracker can recognise authorised use and arm when the fob moves away.
Wireless installation
Neither model needs wiring to the motorcycle battery. The tracker still needs a concealed position that does not excessively obstruct GPS or cellular signals.
What to check before choosing a motorcycle tracker
Coverage and phone compatibility
Monimoto uses cellular networks to send alerts and location data. Check current supported countries, carriers and compatible app requirements for where the motorcycle will be used.
Ongoing connectivity
The integrated eSIM includes an initial connectivity period. Continued cellular alerts and tracking require the Monimoto service to be renewed, so check the current fee on the product page.
Battery preference
Choose between replaceable batteries and a smaller rechargeable tracker. Published maximum battery life depends on use, signal conditions, temperature and alarm activity.
Placement and testing
Hide the tracker securely without fully surrounding it with metal. Pair it with the app, test alerts and location behaviour, and monitor battery and service status regularly.
Security limitation: a GPS tracker cannot prevent theft, guarantee continuous positioning or ensure recovery. Signal strength and location accuracy depend on placement, GPS reception and cellular coverage. Combine it with physical security from our motorcycle locks and chains collection.
Why buy a motorcycle tracker from Moto Central?
Moto Central gives riders a clear comparison between the current Monimoto models, including battery type, dimensions, protection rating and ongoing connectivity requirements. Our team can help explain those differences without presenting a tracker as a replacement for physical security.

Motorcycle tracker questions
Does a Monimoto tracker need wiring?
No. Monimoto 7 uses replaceable batteries and Monimoto 9 has an internal rechargeable battery, so neither draws power from the motorcycle.
Do Monimoto trackers need ongoing service?
Yes, after the included connectivity period, cellular alerts and tracking require renewal through Monimoto. Check the current terms before buying.
Will it track anywhere?
No. GPS reception and compatible cellular coverage are required for location information to be transmitted reliably.
Which model is easier to hide?
Monimoto 9 is narrower and lighter, but the best choice depends on the available concealed space and whether you prefer rechargeable or replaceable batteries.
