RAM motorcycle mounts use a modular approach, allowing a device holder, adjustable arm and bike attachment to be selected for a particular setup. Start with the device you want to carry and the space available on the motorcycle, then work through each connection.

A cradle is not necessarily a complete mount
Check the contents of each listing. A phone cradle may need a separate ball base, socket arm and attachment to the bike. RAM offers individual components as well as complete assemblies, making it possible to replace one part or adapt an existing arrangement without assuming that every item is a full kit.
Match the ball size and socket series, fixing pattern and intended load across the assembly. RAM’s B-size range uses a 1-inch ball, but the wider system includes other sizes. A shared brand name does not make every arm and base interchangeable.
Device-specific or adjustable?
A form-fit cradle is shaped for its named device. For example, RAM’s iPhone 12 and 12 Pro cradle is specified for those phones without a case. Adjustable holders have their own dimensional limits. Check the actual phone, any case and access to buttons and ports.
Position the arm carefully
Choose enough reach to place the screen where you need it without unnecessary projection. Check clearance at both steering extremes and ensure the holder does not obstruct the instruments or controls. Follow the relevant fitting and retention instructions for the complete assembly.
Consider the device as well as the holder
A cradle secures a device; it does not automatically provide weather protection, charging or immunity from motorcycle vibration. RAM highlights potential vibration effects on iPhone cameras, so consult the phone manufacturer’s guidance when deciding how to carry it. Check any tether requirements for the specific holder.

Identify the parts you need
Bring your device, case and the references of existing RAM components to the showroom. Measurements of the intended fixing point help distinguish a replacement cradle from the parts needed for a complete mount.
