The HJC RPHA 60 is an ECE 22.06 adventure full-face motorcycle helmet designed around a road visor, external peak and internal sun shield. This collection includes solid and graphic helmets alongside HJ-47 replacement visors and the model-specific DKS602 Pinlock insert.
Choose the helmet by fit and intended use before deciding on colour. If you already own an RPHA 60, use the HJ-47 and DKS602 part codes to identify compatible vision components.
The RPHA 60 combines a full-face chin bar with a wide eye port, long road visor and external peak. The visor gives wind and weather coverage on the road, while the peak can help with low sun, loose surfaces and changing terrain.
For faster roads, check that the peak is secured correctly and assess how it interacts with your motorcycle screen. Wind direction, screen height and riding posture can all alter buffeting and noise.
The peak and full-face coverage suit mixed-surface trips, but the RPHA 60 remains a road-approved motorcycle helmet rather than a substitute for specialist competition equipment.
HJC states that the peak was developed with wind-tunnel and computational-fluid-dynamics testing to manage drag and high-speed stability. That does not remove the need to test the helmet with your own motorcycle, riding position and luggage setup.
HJC describes the RPHA 60 shell as second-generation Premium Integrated Matrix construction. The laminated composite structure is intended to balance impact performance, durability and weight for demanding conditions.
The Advanced Channeling Ventilation System uses three intakes and four exhausts to move air from front to back. Ventilation depends on speed, visor position and ambient conditions, so riders should learn the controls while stationary before adjusting them on the road.
Use the size guide on the individual product page as a starting point, then assess the helmet on your own head. The crown should contact evenly without a concentrated hotspot, and the cheek pads should hold the shell stable without causing painful pressure.
HJC specifies removable and washable crown and cheek pads, moisture-wicking quick-drying fabric and interchangeable cheek-pad thicknesses across the size range. It is also prepared for SMART HJC 11B, 21B and 50B systems, which are sold separately.
Read our motorcycle helmet sizing guide before measuring. The Moto Central head-shape video explains why two helmets with the same circumference can still fit differently.
Official HJC fitment identifies HJ-47 as the RPHA 60 outer visor. It is Pinlock prepared, anti-scratch coated and specified to provide 99% UV protection. This collection includes clear, dark smoke and RST mirrored replacements in several colours.
The HJ-V12 is the separate internal sun shield. HJC installs a dark smoke version and provides multi-step adjustment. The outer visor and internal shield perform different jobs and are not interchangeable.
Pinlock identifies DKS602 as the clear Pinlock 120 XLT MaxVision insert made for HJC HJ-47 visors and the RPHA 60. It mounts inside a compatible prepared outer visor to help manage condensation; it does not replace a scratched or damaged HJ-47 shield.
HJC lists a long smoke shield, DKS602 Pinlock 120 XLT lens, installed chin curtain and breath deflector among the standard box contents. Confirm the contents stated on the exact Moto Central listing before purchase.
Before riding, make sure the peak fasteners are secure and the peak does not obstruct the visor. Open and close the HJ-47 several times to confirm that both pivots engage evenly and the shield seals correctly.
Communication units, cameras and other accessories can affect noise, airflow and balance. Use model-specific mounting points where provided and never drill the shell or fit an accessory where it obstructs a vent or visor mechanism.
Use mild soap, lukewarm water and a soft cloth on the shell, visor and peak. Avoid fuel, solvents, abrasive compounds and household glass cleaners. Let removable lining parts dry naturally before refitting every fastener.
Inspect the shell, EPS, strap, double-D rings, visor pivots and peak fittings regularly. A helmet that has received a significant impact should be assessed for replacement even if damage is not obvious from the outside.
Moto Central groups current helmet colours with compatible HJ-47 visors and the DKS602 insert, making it easier to compare a complete helmet with the parts needed later. Our showroom team can assist with fit and help identify model-specific replacement components.
