The HJC i30 pairs an open-front layout with a broad outer shield and a separate drop-down sun visor. It suits riders comparing jet helmets for everyday road use, while its model-specific vision parts make the exact i30 name important when maintaining an existing helmet.
The outer screen reduces exposure to wind and road debris, but it does not turn an open-face helmet into a full-face design. Compare the coverage around your face with a fixed-chin-bar alternative. During fitting, lower the screen with your usual glasses in place and check clearance around the frames and nose.
HJC identifies HJ-34 as the i30 outer visor and HJ-V9 as its internal sun shield. HJ-34P is a different reference used on other helmets, despite the similar name. The photographs illustrate separate replacement components, not complete helmets. An anti-fog insert is another distinct item fitted inside a compatible prepared screen.
HJC describes a polycarbonate shell, three top intakes and a removable interior. Its model documentation lists SMART HJC 10B and 20B systems as separately sold options. Check the exact installation kit before buying a communication unit; Bluetooth compatibility does not mean that electronics are included.
Try the helmet fastened and turn your head as you would when checking traffic. Look for even contact without a concentrated pressure point. Screen condition also matters: inspect the mounting points and replace a shield whose damage interferes with vision.
Visit our showroom with your riding glasses and gloves. We can help assess the HJC i30 fit or check the details of a replacement component before you choose.
