LS2 MX702 Pioneer 2 helmets offer an adventure-style shape with a peak, outer visor and internal sun shield. The combination is useful to compare when your journeys include exposed country roads, touring and slower routes where a peaked helmet feels natural.
LS2 identifies KPA construction and ECE 22.06 approval for the Pioneer II. It is a different model from the older MX436 Pioneer Evo. Use the MX702 designation when checking replacement shields, peaks and interiors, and confirm the complete part reference rather than relying on the Pioneer name.
The peak is adjustable and removable. Follow the helmet instructions for permitted settings and hardware, then check that everything is secure. Consider your motorcycle posture and windscreen when comparing peaked and unpeaked designs. Make configuration changes while stopped, with the correct tools or fittings to hand.
The outer visor is prepared for Pinlock Max Vision, with a separate drop-down sun visor. Confirm the insert and any included accessories on the exact item. LS2 also specifies a removable, washable interior. Try the helmet with your usual collar and spectacles, checking pressure around the temples and whether you can comfortably reach the controls in gloves.
Bring your usual riding equipment to compare helmet fit. For replacement parts, bring the helmet or its exact model, generation and size details.
