LS2 FF812 Kids helmets are junior full-face models, designed around a child’s fit rather than an adult helmet chosen in a smaller label size. The FF812 KID uses LS2’s KPA shell material and a micrometric buckle. Start with a careful fitting, then choose the graphic the young wearer likes.
A helmet needs to support the head securely at the time it is worn. Do not choose extra room for future growth. Check for movement with the strap correctly adjusted and allow time for the child to describe any uncomfortable pressure. Reassess the fit as they grow, particularly if the helmet starts to shift or becomes difficult to put on.
LS2 specifies multi-density EPS and an emergency cheek-pad release system for the FF812. For everyday use, practise the buckle and visor controls while an adult checks the fastening. Explain that emergency-release parts are not ordinary adjustment controls. The European model is listed with ECE 22.06 approval; confirm the exact helmet’s labelling when choosing.
LS2 lists FF812-specific visors, liners, vents and an anti-fog insert among the accessories. Check each part’s reference and whether it is supplied or purchased separately. Keep the visor clean and replace damaged components with compatible parts. Compare other LS2 helmets by actual fit and intended use, rather than treating similar graphics or size letters as proof of suitability.
Bring the child and their usual glasses to Moto Central. A patient fitting can check comfort, stability and whether they can use the controls with guidance.
