Built Around Aerodynamic Efficiency
The Thunder GP immediately feels like a helmet designed with speed in mind. The shell carries a compact and highly sculpted profile that flows naturally into the aggressive rear spoiler system, helping create smoother airflow around the helmet during fast riding conditions.
Rather than simply adding oversized spoilers for styling purposes, LS2 has clearly developed the FF805 with aerodynamic balance as a priority. This becomes especially noticeable during motorway riding and tucked sports-bike positions where airflow stability plays a major role in reducing rider fatigue.
The helmet maintains a composed and planted feel at speed while avoiding the heavy or oversized sensation that some race-inspired helmets can create during road use.
Designed For Aggressive Riding Positions
One area where the FF805 stands out particularly well is rider visibility during sports riding. The visor aperture has been developed to provide a broader upper viewing angle, allowing riders to maintain visibility while positioned low behind the screen during aggressive riding.
This creates a noticeably more natural riding experience on sports bikes compared to helmets with more restricted visor openings. Peripheral visibility also feels wide and open, helping improve awareness during both fast road riding and track sessions.
Combined with the helmet’s compact shell proportions, the Thunder GP feels purpose-built for riders who regularly ride in more committed sports riding positions.
