LS2 FF902 Scope II is a flip-front helmet for riders who want a conventional lifting chin section for daily road use and touring. The second-generation Scope combines a 90-degree opening mechanism with separate visor controls, so choosing it involves both a careful fitting and a check of the precise component generation.
LS2 specifies a 90-degree chin-section movement and ECE 22.06 P/J approval for Scope II. Familiarise yourself with the locking system and the manual's instructions for each riding configuration. During a fitting, check that you can close the front securely without displacing the helmet on your head.
Scope II uses LS2's HPTT shell construction and three outer-shell groups. The size label alone cannot tell you whether its internal shape suits you. Wear it closed and fastened, assess cheek contact and local pressure, and compare the feel with your usual glasses. Removable comfort padding and chin and front ventilation are useful everyday details to check in person.
The current manufacturer specification includes a Pinlock 70 MaxVision insert and a quick-release outer visor. An insert, outer visor and internal sun visor are separate parts, even where a listing groups them under visor accessories. Check the exact package before purchase and use the correct insert and fitting instructions when maintaining the anti-fog seal.
The FF902 identifier appears across more than one Scope generation. Some components are explicitly shared, while others, including model-specific interiors and mechanism parts, have narrower applications. Match the full name and component reference. Do not infer compatibility from FF902 alone, and do not modify the shell or protective liner to make an intercom or replacement part fit.
Visit our showroom with the riding kit you normally use. We can help compare fit, check how separate pieces work together and identify the right model before you choose.
