The Arai MX-V family is built around off-road riding with a peak and a goggle opening. When comparing helmets or replacement parts, distinguish the original MX-V from the later MX-V Evo. A shared family name or similar graphic does not mean the approval, interior parts or other specifications are identical.
Arai’s original MX-V documentation describes its Dry-Cool interior, removable comfort components and goggle-band guidance. Use that documentation for the original model, and the Evo information for the later version. Check the full name and label on the helmet you are considering rather than borrowing a certification claim from another generation.
The helmet and goggles need to work together as one setup. Check that the frame sits comfortably in the opening, the strap follows its intended position and the helmet remains stable with the retention system fastened. Consider the view while seated and standing on the bike. A preferred goggle model should be part of the fitting process, not an assumption made after choosing the helmet.
Inspect the peak, vents and removable comfort components according to the manual for your model. Follow the specified cleaning method and let washed parts dry properly before refitting. Replacement pads can have size and thickness requirements as well as model compatibility. Do not treat a fresh liner as a way to remedy a damaged helmet or assume that an Evo component will fit the original MX-V.
