Urban and casual riding
Addax, London Evo 2, Marlon X Kevlar, Livio X Kevlar, Jody and Skye bring motorcycle protection into less technical-looking shapes. Addax combines softshell, a Humax membrane and removable thermal lining, while London Evo 2 uses a waterproof and breathable membrane with a full removable thermal liner. Adaptable multi-layer jackets

Waterproof, ventilated or both?
A waterproof membrane, a water-repellent outer and a mesh ventilation system are different things. Laminated jackets place the membrane against the outer structure to reduce water absorption and drying time. Drop-liner jackets position the waterproof layer inside the garment. Vented jackets move air through mesh or openings, while some multi-layer models let you remove or reposition the weather layer completely.
For regular wet-weather touring, look first at a model with a clearly stated waterproof and breathable membrane, then check whether it is laminated or removable. For summer-only riding, large mesh panels usually matter more than an unused liner. If you need one jacket for a broad season, a removable thermal lining and controllable vents can be helpful, but no single configuration is ideal for every temperature.
Protection, fit and connection

Allow space for the liners or base layers you intend to use without making the jacket loose when those layers are removed.
