Furygan motorcycle jeans combine the appearance and pocket layout of everyday denim with construction and impact protection developed for riding. K12 X Kevlar Straight
The K12 keeps a straight cut but moves to a single-layer outer construction incorporating Kevlar fibres across the garment. Furygan certifies the K12 to class AAA and supplies low-profile D3O Ghost protection at the knees and hips. It is the higher-rated straight-cut option in this particular collection.
Tyron X Kevlar Slim
The Tyron uses a slim cut through the hips, thighs and ankles. Its outer material is a single-layer bi-stretch Kevlar construction, and Furygan certifies it to class AA. Reflective details sit on the rear pockets and inside the turn-up, allowing the inner strip to be exposed when the hem is rolled.
Shared practical details
All three have five external pockets, stretch in the construction and adjustable knee-protector positioning. The thin, flexible D3O Ghost protectors are intended to sit unobtrusively beneath the denim, but the correct position on your body is more important than how discreet the armour looks.
How motorcycle jeans should fit
Start with your normal waist size, then use the model's size chart and available leg length rather than relying on the number alone. Riding jeans must stay in place if you slide, so an overly loose waist or knee area can allow the protectors to move away from the intended impact zone. Equally, a pair that pulls tightly across the hips, seat or knees can become uncomfortable once you bend your legs on the bike.
Try the jeans in a riding position. The knee armour should cover the kneecap when your knees are bent, not sit above it. Use the adjustable protector position where provided, check that the hip armour lies flat, and make sure the hem still overlaps your motorcycle footwear. The D12 and K12 straight cuts allow more space down the leg; the Tyron is deliberately narrower.
Single-layer and reinforced denim
A single-layer riding jean incorporates its protective fibres into the outer material, which can reduce bulk compared with a separate reinforcement layer. That is the approach Furygan uses for the K12 and Tyron. The D12 instead combines its denim with an additional Kevlar-containing reinforcement at the seat. Neither description makes one pair automatically right for every rider: cut, certification, protector position, temperature and intended journey all matter.
For certification, use the rating attached to the exact product. Class AAA is the highest protection class within EN 17092 for motorcycle garments, while class AA balances protection and ergonomics for a broad range of road use. The K12 is the class AAA model here and the Tyron is class AA. Check the label and current product specification for the pair you order.
