Furygan Base Layers
4 products
Showing 1 - 4 of 4 products
Furygan base layers sit beneath motorcycle jackets, trousers or one-piece suits to manage next-to-skin comfort without adding unnecessary bulk. This focused collection contains thermal long-sleeve tops and matching trousers, including products that use Furygan's 37.5 technology. It is a cold-weather range rather than a complete summer and winter selection.
A technical base layer should fit close enough to move moisture away from the skin and avoid loose folds beneath protectors. It is not a substitute for certified motorcycle clothing: these garments provide thermal and moisture-management support, while abrasion and impact protection must come from the outer riding equipment.
Choosing between the Furygan thermal layers
Active Thermo 37.5
The products explicitly labelled 37.5 combine a thermal knit with active particles incorporated into the fabric. Furygan describes the Thermo versions as breathable and insulating, with seamless construction, compression zones and quick-drying material. The top and trousers are designed to work as a pair.
Active Thermo
The other top and trouser listings are named Active Thermo but do not include 37.5 in their current product titles. Treat them as separate thermal options and use the exact product information when comparing materials, sizing and availability rather than transferring every 37.5 claim across the range.
Top, trousers or both?
A long-sleeve top helps at the torso and arms beneath a jacket or suit, while base-layer trousers cover the legs beneath riding trousers. Using both creates more consistent coverage, but riders can choose one piece when only part of the body needs extra insulation.
Unisex grouped sizing
Furygan's official 37.5 base layers use grouped unisex sizes rather than individual chest or waist increments. Compare your measurements with the product guide and prioritise close contact without restricted breathing, circulation or movement.
How Furygan 37.5 technology works
Furygan says 37.5 active particles are permanently incorporated into the fabric. They are designed to capture and move moisture vapour away from the body while supporting temperature regulation. The fabric is also designed to dry quickly, which is useful when exertion changes during a ride or when a layer must be washed between riding days.
The Thermo 37.5 top and trousers also carry Furygan's ColdMaster designation for cold-weather equipment. That does not mean one layer is suitable for every temperature. Wind chill, journey length, riding speed, outer clothing and personal sensitivity to cold all affect the insulation you need.
Getting the fit and layering right
Put the base layer directly against the skin unless the care or use instructions say otherwise. The fabric should lie flat, with no folds beneath the knees, hips, elbows or shoulders. Compression zones should support movement without creating numbness or leaving deep pressure marks.
When layering for winter, use the base layer first, then any compatible insulating or waterproof liner, followed by the protective outer garment. Too many bulky layers can affect mobility and move armour away from the correct position. Check your full combination while seated on the motorcycle, especially beneath a fitted leather suit.
Follow the washing label on the individual garment. Fabric technology can be affected by unsuitable heat, bleach or fabric treatment, so avoid assuming that care instructions are the same as ordinary cotton clothing.

Furygan base-layer questions
Are these Furygan base layers for summer and winter?
The current collection is focused on thermal products for colder conditions. Furygan also makes non-Thermo 37.5 layers, but they are not part of this particular collection at present.
Do all four products use 37.5 technology?
Only the products explicitly labelled 37.5 should be assumed to use it. The other Active Thermo listings have separate titles, so check their individual specifications.
Are Furygan base layers protective motorcycle clothing?
No. They help with thermal and moisture comfort but are not replacements for abrasion-resistant outer clothing or impact armour.
Should a motorcycle base layer fit tightly?
It should fit close to the skin and remain smooth beneath your outer equipment. It must not restrict breathing, circulation or normal riding movement.
Can I wear a Furygan base layer under a one-piece leather suit?
Yes, a close technical layer can make a fitted suit more comfortable and easier to remove. Check that it does not bunch beneath the armour and assess the complete combination in a riding position.
