Furygan motorcycle clothing covers far more than the leather gear for which the French brand first became known. This collection brings together textile and leather jackets, summer, waterproof and heated gloves, riding shoes and boots, trousers, jeans, one-piece suits, body armour, base layers and practical luggage. There are men's, women's, unisex and selected children's options, so the useful starting point is how and when you ride.
Founded by Jacques Segura in 1969, Furygan is based in Nîmes in southern France. Leather craftsmanship remains central to the brand, while its modern range also draws on the Furygan MotionLAB and named technology partners including D3O, Kevlar, In&motion and 37.5. Those features vary by product, so this page explains what to compare rather than treating every item as though it has the same specification.
Choose Furygan kit for your type of riding
Jackets for road, touring and warm weather
Start with the conditions. Mesh and vented jackets focus on airflow, while three-in-one and touring designs add removable thermal or waterproof layers. Leather jackets suit riders who want a closer, sportier cut. Compare the garment's PPE rating, included shoulder and elbow armour, back and chest pockets, ventilation and connection zip before choosing.
Gloves for each season
Furygan gloves range from lightweight short-cuff styles to waterproof touring, insulated winter and electronically heated options. Look at cuff length, palm construction, knuckle protection, weather insert and touchscreen details. Heated models also need their battery, charger and control features checked against the individual listing.
Boots and riding shoes
Urban riding shoes offer an easier off-bike shape, while taller road and touring boots add more lower-leg coverage. Product-specific features include D3O ankle cups, reinforced heel and toe areas, waterproof membranes, ventilation and Michelin-branded soles. Fit should be secure at the heel without restricting ankle movement or gear changes.
Trousers, jeans and leather suits
Textile trousers can add weather protection and jacket connection zips; riding jeans provide a more casual shape; one-piece leather suits are designed around a close performance fit. Check the stated certification, included armour, leg length, stretch panels and jacket compatibility rather than choosing only by waist size.
Armour and airbag protection
The range includes D3O back, chest, shoulder, elbow, hip and knee protectors, plus an electronic airbag vest. Protector shape, size and CE level differ, and pockets are not universal. The Fury Airbag Evo uses In&motion technology and requires an In&motion subscription; follow the product instructions for set-up and compatible clothing.
Layers, bags and useful extras
37.5 base layers are designed to manage heat and moisture next to the skin, while backpacks and waist bags cover everyday carrying. You will also find rainwear, a neck tube, knee sliders and replacement components. Match accessories to the exact task and confirm compatibility where they form part of a protection system.
Understanding Furygan technologies
D3O appears across many Furygan garments, gloves, footwear and separate protectors. It is an impact material designed to remain flexible in normal use and absorb energy under impact, but the protection zone and certification level must be checked on the individual product. A jacket with shoulder and elbow protectors may still require a separately purchased back or chest protector.
Kevlar is used on selected products where it is named in the specification, including reinforced denim, leather suits and some gloves. 37.5 technology uses active particles incorporated into the fabric to help move moisture and support temperature regulation. In&motion powers the electronic detection system in Furygan's current airbag range.
How to get the fit and specification right
Measure over the layers you expect to wear, then use the size information on the exact product page. Motorcycle clothing should stay in position when seated on the bike without creating pressure points at the shoulders, elbows, knees or hips. For fitted leather and airbag systems, allow for the manufacturer's stated movement and deployment requirements rather than simply sizing up.
Next, check the product's certification and contents. Confirm which protectors are supplied, which pockets are present and whether any optional insert has the right shape and size. For all-season clothing, decide whether removable layers suit your journeys or whether separate waterproof and insulating layers would be more flexible. For summer riding, look for strategically placed mesh or perforation rather than relying on a product name alone.

Furygan questions
Is all Furygan motorcycle clothing made from leather?
No. Furygan has a strong leather heritage, but this collection also includes textile jackets and trousers, riding jeans, mesh garments, base layers, gloves, footwear and luggage. Check each product's material list because construction varies considerably.
Does every Furygan jacket include a back protector?
No. Many jackets include shoulder and elbow armour and provide a pocket for an optional Furygan back protector, but the exact contents differ. Check the product specification and choose the correct protector shape and size.
Are Furygan D3O Ghost protectors universal?
No. D3O Ghost describes a family of thin, flexible protectors rather than one universal insert. Match the body zone, size, CE level and garment pocket. Furygan states that its Chest LNR D3O Ghost protector is for garments specifically marked Chest Protector Ready.
What is the difference between the Furygan airbag vest and inflator?
The vest contains the wearable airbag system. The Evo inflator is the replaceable gas generator used by compatible Evo and Evolution+ airbags after deployment. The Fury Airbag Evo also requires an In&motion subscription, so read the full set-up and service information before riding.
Should I choose a vented or all-season Furygan jacket?
Choose a vented or mesh jacket for maximum airflow in warm conditions. An all-season or three-in-one model is more adaptable when temperatures and rain vary. Compare waterproof construction, removable layers and vent placement against the journeys you actually make.
