The original SR1 sports helmet. Schuberth SR1 is a full-face sports helmet whose replacement visor and small-component choices need precise identification. Keep the original SR1 separate from SR2 when comparing parts, even where a retailer groups related items on the same page.
The independent SHARP record identifies the original SR1 as a full-face model. Historical model testing is useful context, but it does not assess the condition of your individual helmet. Check its history and condition before investing in replacement comfort or cosmetic components.
A race-labelled visor, a Pinlock-ready visor and a tear-off film perform different jobs. Confirm which visor system is fitted and which accessories it supports. Select a tint suitable for the conditions and follow the product’s usage instructions rather than assuming every visor finish is suitable for every ride.
A chin vent, visor button, mechanism kit and breath deflector are separate assemblies. Compare part references and mounting details before ordering. SR2-labelled pieces require explicit evidence of SR1 compatibility; the similar name alone is insufficient. Ask for help if the original component cannot be positively identified.
Visit our Leicestershire showroom for help comparing fit or identifying the model and component you need. Bring the helmet details and any relevant part reference so the discussion starts with the correct version.
