The Schuberth S3 is a full-face sport touring helmet designed to bring together the performance-focused characteristics of a race-inspired helmet with the long-distance comfort expected from a touring lid. Schuberth developed the S3 around safety, aerodynamics, aeroacoustic performance and everyday usability, making it a strong choice for riders who spend serious time on the road.

Built for Sport Touring

The S3 sits in Schuberth's sport touring range and uses a directly processed glass-fibre shell reinforced with carbon fibre. The construction is designed to provide strong impact-absorption performance while keeping weight under control. Inside, a dual-density EPS construction is used, together with Schuberth's seamless Individual concept lining to help riders achieve a more personalised fit.

ECE-R 22.06 Safety Standard

The S3 was introduced as Schuberth's first full-face helmet meeting the newer ECE-R 22.06 homologation standard. Its safety-focused specification also includes the Schuberth Rescue System, allowing the cheek pads to be released by emergency responders to facilitate helmet removal after an accident.

Designed for a Clear, Comfortable View

A wider-feeling field of view is supported by the City Position mechanism, while the integrated drop-down sun visor uses Schuberth's V-lock mechanism. A pre-installed Pinlock 120 anti-fog lens is included to help maintain clearer vision in changing temperatures and riding conditions.

Ventilation for Everyday Riding

The S3 uses a double chin air intake with an exchangeable chin filter, together with a rear spoiler and air extractor. The ventilation system is intended to keep airflow moving through the helmet while helping riders remain comfortable during longer rides.

Quiet Aerodynamics

Schuberth places strong emphasis on aeroacoustic performance. The S3 has been developed with aerodynamic optimisation and a revised neck roll to help reduce unwanted wind noise. According to Schuberth's current US specification, the S3 is rated at up to 85 dB(A) at 62 mph on a naked bike.

Ready for Integrated Communication

The S3 is prepared for plug-and-play communication, with speakers and the necessary Mesh, FM radio and Bluetooth antenna hardware integrated into the helmet shell. The current US version is suited to Schuberth's SC2, SC2 Standard and SC EDGE communication systems.

Sizes and Weight

The S3 is available across two shell sizes. Shell 1 covers XXS through L, while Shell 2 covers XL through XXXL. For the current US DOT version, Schuberth lists weights of approximately 1,720g for sizes 53/55, 1,740g for sizes 57/59 and 1,970g for sizes 61/63/65, before the additional accessory weight.
