R2 full-face design. Schuberth R2 is a full-face road helmet with its own visor and interior architecture. It should be identified separately from R2 Basic and Carbon variants when comparing specifications, communication equipment or replacement parts.
The original R2 manual describes a glass-fibre-reinforced shell and double-D chinstrap fastening. Its fixed full-face format offers a different operating experience from Schuberth’s flip-up touring models. Practise fastening the strap correctly and assess the fit around the crown and cheeks before selecting a helmet.
Identify the outer visor separately from its anti-fog insert. Match the visor reference and fitting arrangement, and check whether the selected item is a complete shield or only an insert. A coloured finish is not a substitute for checking visibility requirements and the manufacturer’s conditions of use.
Replacement cheek pads and head padding must match the intended R2 version and size. Extra-thick padding should be selected only where the manufacturer’s fitment guidance supports it. Follow the manual’s requirement for expressly approved components, and avoid modifications to the shell or retention system.
Visit our Leicestershire showroom for help comparing fit or identifying the model and component you need. Bring the helmet details and any relevant part reference so the discussion starts with the correct version.
