The Schuberth C4 sits within the brand’s touring helmet family, and its model identity matters when choosing communication equipment or replacement components. A C4, C4 Pro and C5 should not be treated as interchangeable names. Use the helmet label and the exact accessory specification together when planning a purchase.
Schuberth’s SC1 documentation names the C4 and C4 Pro and describes their pre-installed microphone, speakers and antenna. The compatible SC1 unit and battery complete that system. Preparation is not the same as an included, working intercom, so check the actual helmet and supplied equipment before buying a kit or replacing an older unit.
A clear outer visor, sun visor, ventilation fitting and wind deflector each perform a different job. Match the component, model and required size rather than choosing only by appearance. The manufacturer lists some sun-visor components across several C-series helmets, but that is not evidence that their comfort linings or communication modules share the same fit.
Check that the shield moves cleanly, the interior supports the head and the opening system operates as its handbook describes. Worn comfort parts may be serviceable; impact damage needs a different assessment. If you are comparing a replacement helmet, try the newer model independently.
