The Arai QV Pro is a touring-focused full-face helmet that brings adjustable ventilation and the external Pro Shade visor arrangement together. When comparing a complete helmet or choosing parts for one you already own, concentrate on the QV-Pro model designation, its VAS-V system and the fit of the interior rather than assuming all Arai components are shared.
Arai's QV-Pro factsheet describes large ventilation switches intended to be operated in thick gloves. For touring, this makes the location and feel of the controls worth checking during a fitting, especially if you regularly move between town traffic and open roads. Wear your normal gloves and riding jacket to judge reach and collar clearance. The historical QV-Pro specification should be kept separate from newer Arai models.
The Pro Shade arrangement places a movable sun-shading element outside the main visor. It is not an internal drop-down sun visor. A complete system, a replacement shade and a clear anti-fog insert are different purchases. QV-Pro uses VAS-V parts, so check both the helmet application and the precise outer-visor type before selecting an insert or mechanism. A photograph of the existing assembly can help identify what actually needs replacing.
The manufacturer's factsheet identifies a removable interior, Facial Contour System cheek pads and provision for speakers. These features still need to work with your own head shape. Check that glasses and any fitted speakers do not create local pressure. When refreshing the interior, compare the pad code and thickness with the original component; a size label from another Arai model is not sufficient evidence of compatibility.
Look at the complete helmet's approval label and supplied equipment when comparing examples from different years or markets. An accessory listing does not establish the helmet's age or approval. For existing owners, separate a scratched screen, a damaged vent and worn comfort padding into their own part enquiries. This makes it easier to resolve the actual problem without buying an entire visor system or an unsuitable interior kit.
Bring your helmet when identifying replacement parts, or visit our showroom with your usual glasses and riding jacket to compare the fit of a complete helmet. We can help separate the helmet, visor and interior choices.
