Arai Concept-XE pairs a restrained retro full-face shape with internal ventilation and the VAS-V Max Vision shield. It suits a comparison based on everyday fit, visibility and ownership needs as well as the uncluttered appearance that complements classic and modern road motorcycles.
The Concept-XE’s smooth exterior conceals an internal air-channel system. Arai describes airflow through the brow vents and comfort liner towards side and neck exhausts, with a shutter controlling the chin area. Its PB e-cLc shell construction and ECE R22.06 specification belong to Concept-XE; the earlier Concept-X should be identified separately when selecting a helmet or parts.
Replaceable cheek pads and interior lining, Facial Contour System support and speaker pockets are part of the Concept-XE specification. Try the fastened helmet with any glasses you wear and allow time to notice pressure at the temples. Have padding adjustments assessed properly rather than choosing a loose helmet and expecting accessories to correct it.
The manufacturer specifies VAS-V Max Vision and lists Pro Shade as an option. The gallery shows an outer screen, anti-fog insert and complete Pro Shade assembly as separate illustrations. Confirm the exact part reference and supplied pieces for your helmet. An insert alone is not an outer visor, and a replacement shade blade is not necessarily a complete Pro Shade kit.
Arai advises mild soap and lukewarm water for the interior, followed by thorough rinsing and drying away from direct heat or sunlight. Keep the internal air paths and controls clear without altering the impact liner. The Emergency Release System is intended to assist trained responders; it is not a reason to experiment with the helmet’s protective structure. For uncertain fittings or repairs, bring the complete helmet for identification.
Bring your helmet when identifying replacement parts, or visit our showroom with your usual glasses and riding jacket to compare the fit of a complete helmet. We can help separate the helmet, visor and interior choices.
