Sidi ARX WP brings a weather-focused option to the ARX riding-shoe family. It suits riders comparing practical footwear for commuting with something they can continue wearing after parking, while keeping protection and fit central to the decision.

WP and Air have different roles

The WP model is the wet-weather option; ARX Air prioritises a fresher construction for warmer days. Neither name tells you how the shoe will fit your foot. Check the exact model before ordering, particularly when comparing listings or replacing a familiar pair.

Check the reinforced areas

Sidi lists D3O ankle protection, heel and toe reinforcement and a gear-shift protector for ARX WP. The shoe also uses Fortex technology and the Concrecto sole. Assess how the structured areas feel when you flex at the ankle and reach for the controls, rather than assuming trainer-like softness throughout.

Keep water outside the opening

A short waterproof shoe still has an open cuff. Try your trousers over it in your riding position and check that the hem remains clear of the controls. Adjust the laces, use the lace holder and test heel retention on a short walk. A loose shoe is not made secure simply by tightening its uppermost lace.
