Scorpion EXO-500 Air is a full-face road helmet that combines a polycarbonate shell with an adjustable comfort-fit system. When choosing replacement vision equipment, separate the main outer shield from the internal sun visor and identify the exact helmet version first.
The manufacturer’s EXO-500 manual describes inflatable cheek-pad adjustment. It supplements correct sizing rather than making an incorrectly sized helmet suitable. Adjust the system while stationary and follow the instructions for releasing pressure before removing the helmet. Do not modify damaged air bladders or improvise a repair.
The outer shield and drop-down sun visor occupy different positions and use different fittings. A listing that names EXO-500 and EXO-1000 sun visors does not establish that their outer shields or other interior parts are interchangeable. Read the component name as carefully as the model list.
For a replacement outer visor, check the finish, anti-fog preparation and any separately required insert. Confirm the light-condition restrictions for tinted equipment. On an older helmet, examine the surrounding mechanism and the helmet’s overall condition before investing in accessories; new vision equipment does not reset its service life.
Visit our Leicestershire showroom for help with helmet fit or identifying a replacement component. Bring the helmet details and any part references so we can start with the correct model.
