Scorpion EXO-391 helmets offer a straightforward full-face option for commuting and everyday road riding. The useful comparison is how the helmet fits, how clearly you can see through its shield and how easily you can operate it with gloves. A graphic finish can express your style, but comfort and secure retention should decide the choice.
Scorpion equips the EXO-391 with an Ellip-Tec visor mechanism and a shield prepared for a compatible Pinlock insert. Preparation does not mean an insert is supplied with every package. Check the exact contents, then practise opening, closing and locking the visor while stationary. A replacement shield should be selected by the manufacturer's compatibility reference, rather than by its apparent shape.
The removable KwikWick C lining makes routine interior care practical. During a fitting, check support at the cheeks and around the crown without isolated painful pressure. Try your riding glasses too. A size chart is a starting point; a helmet that moves independently of your head needs further assessment before riding.
Clean the visor and lining using the helmet instructions and allow washed padding to dry fully before refitting. Inspect the seal and mechanism if the shield no longer closes evenly. The EXO-391 deserves its own fit and parts check even if you have worn another Scorpion model before.
