Scorpion EXO-3000 Air is a flip-front touring helmet with a separate internal sun visor and AirFit comfort adjustment. Its moving chin section, outer visor and sun visor form different systems, each with its own operation and replacement requirements.
The original technical sheet specifies a TCT-U shell, Kwikwick III lining and a micrometric buckle. It also identifies the chin-section opening control and ventilation features. Check the exact helmet documentation for permitted riding configurations rather than assuming every flip-front helmet is intended to be used in the same way.
Some outer-visor listings explicitly name both EXO-3000 and EXO-920. That supports the stated component application, not interchangeability of chin mechanisms, interior parts or the whole helmet specification. Confirm the visor reference and whether the relevant anti-fog insert is included or purchased separately.
Try the fit and controls while stationary. The chin section must operate and secure correctly, and the visor should close evenly without forcing it. If a mechanism is damaged or a replacement does not seat properly, seek model-specific advice. Bring the helmet identification and existing part details so that the correct assembly can be checked.
Visit our Leicestershire showroom for help with helmet fit or identifying a replacement component. Bring the helmet details and any part references so we can start with the correct model.
