Scorpion EXO-220 is an open-face helmet design with a long outer visor and a separate internal sun visor. It offers a different coverage and airflow experience from a full-face helmet, so the helmet format and the vision system should be considered together.
The manufacturer’s catalogue describes a ventilated design with a Kwikwick II comfort lining and triple-density foam pads. An outer visor provides a screen in front of the face, but does not turn an open-face helmet into one with a fixed protective chin bar. Assess the format and fit for your intended riding.
The main outer visor and the internal sun visor are different assemblies. When replacing either, match EXO-220 compatibility explicitly; neighbouring model numbers such as EXO-210 and EXO-230 are not a fitment guarantee. Check the attachment points and the component reference before selecting a tint.
A Pinlock-ready visor is prepared for a compatible insert; it does not automatically include that insert. Check the exact listing and the lens fitment information. Choose a finish appropriate to the conditions and follow its supplied guidance. Keep both visor surfaces and mechanisms clean using the manufacturer’s care instructions.
Visit our Leicestershire showroom for help with helmet fit or identifying a replacement component. Bring the helmet details and any part references so we can start with the correct model.
