Racer Sara motorcycle gloves combine a soft, understated outer with insulation for cooler journeys. This women’s glove is worth comparing when you want a short cuff that sits comfortably with a riding jacket, while retaining a leather palm and a secure feel at the controls.

Softshell outside, insulated inside

The original Sara uses a softshell back, goatskin palm and PrimaLoft insulation, with a fleece lining and Polymax membrane listed in the UK distributor’s specification. These layers serve different purposes: the palm handles contact with the grips, while the lining and insulation influence warmth and feel. Sara and Sara 2 are separate model names, so check the exact glove rather than transferring details between them.

Make the short cuff work with your jacket

Sara’s synthetic sheepskin cuff can be turned up. Try both positions with the jacket you actually ride in, then reach forward as you would on the bike. The glove and sleeve should overlap without pushing against each other or leaving an exposed wrist. A comfortable cuff arrangement standing in a shop can feel quite different with your arms extended.

Check finger length and control feel

With the wrist closure secured, curl your hand around a grip-sized object and reach for the levers. Look for enough room at the fingertips without loose material folding across the palm. Do not choose a tight size simply to make an insulated glove feel thinner. The distributor lists Ergoflex protection; assess the glove’s own label for its precise protection information.

Choosing for regular use

Think about your usual temperature, journey length and jacket combination before choosing. The original Sara’s insulated construction is a different proposition from a lightly lined summer glove. Allow damp gloves to dry naturally and follow their care label, especially where leather and textile panels meet. The photographs show useful palm and cuff details, with colours serving as illustrations rather than a permanent range promise.
