The original Caberg Drift is a full-face road helmet with a composite-fibre shell and double-D retention, as recorded by the UK's SHARP programme. Its name now sits alongside later Drift Evo versions, making generation checks particularly useful when comparing helmets or replacement components.
Drift, Drift Evo and Drift Evo II are not interchangeable model names. Identify the helmet label before ordering a screen, pad or vent. Some listings expressly cover more than one generation, but that should not be extended to other components without confirmation.
Select an outer visor by its stated model application and reference, then check whether an anti-fog insert is supplied separately. Inspect the mounting points and closure after fitting. Choose a visor suitable for the light conditions and observe the restrictions stated for tinted finishes.
Cheek pads are fit components, while top vents manage airflow and the chin curtain helps at the lower opening. These items cannot substitute for one another. Compare the original shape, fixing points and size information rather than choosing from a photograph alone.
Practise threading and tightening the double-D strap correctly, keeping the helmet supported firmly without painful pressure. Reassess the fit as comfort padding ages. Replacement cosmetic parts do not make a helmet with damaged shell or impact liner suitable for continued use.
Visit our showroom with your riding glasses and gloves. We can help assess the Caberg Drift fit or check the details of a replacement component before you choose.
