Airoh Helios is an open-face helmet for riders who value an unobstructed, airy feel on everyday journeys. Its visor equipment adds convenience, but the open chin area remains an important part of the choice. Compare the fit and coverage with a full-face helmet before deciding which style suits you.
Airoh identifies Helios with an HRT thermoplastic shell, integrated sun visor, micrometric fastening and a removable, washable interior. The manufacturer also describes ventilation and an included Custom Kit for the visor-free configuration. Check the specific helmet’s contents and instructions before changing that configuration.
Try your glasses with the main visor both raised and lowered, then operate the internal sun visor while stationary. Ensure neither screen presses on the frames or nose. Assess security around the crown and sides rather than accepting a loose helmet for an easier entry. An outer visor is a screen, not a protective chin bar.
Helios and similarly named later models require careful identification when ordering a visor or interior part. Read the exact compatibility listing and retain the helmet’s model information. Clean the screens using the specified method and let removable padding dry fully before refitting. If you are weighing coverage against the open-face feel, compare the wider motorcycle helmet range too.
