AGV Tourmodular is a flip-front touring helmet built around a composite shell and the convenience of an opening chin bar. Fit, the visor controls and the condition of the opening and fastening systems all deserve attention, whether you are comparing helmets or identifying a replacement component.
AGV specifies carbon, aramid and fibreglass construction and P/J approval for the European Tourmodular. Use the helmet only in the configurations described by its instructions and approval label. During fitting, operate the chin bar, check that it closes positively and assess the cheek contact with your glasses in place.
AGV has published a buckle assistance campaign for specified 2022 batches and a chin-guard mechanism recall affecting specified ECE 22.06 helmets. Check your serial number and manufacturing details using those notices and contact AGV or your supplying dealer if applicable. Replacement accessories do not resolve an outstanding recall.
An outer visor, an internal sun shade and a set of cheek pads perform different jobs. Use the Tourmodular designation and exact component details when ordering; do not assume Sportmodular or Streetmodular parts are equivalent. Check any anti-fog insert against the actual outer visor, including its size and pin arrangement.
Try the controls with your normal gloves and allow time to assess pressure around the forehead and cheeks. AGV's interchangeable cheek-pad system offers fitting options, but it should support an already suitable helmet fit. Check communication equipment and package contents separately, and use the prescribed installation rather than altering the protective liner.
Visit our showroom with your riding glasses and gloves. We can help assess the AGV Tourmodular fit or check the details of a replacement component before you choose.
