AGV K6 is a full-face road helmet built around a carbon-and-aramid shell and a design intended to work across sports and touring riding. This original K6 should be identified separately from the later K6 S, especially when assessing an older helmet, choosing its size or replacing a component.
AGV developed the K6 with a wide visor opening and compact metal visor mechanisms. Try it in your normal riding posture and check the view towards your instruments without lifting the helmet on your head. Low quoted weight alone is not a substitute for a stable fit that remains comfortable through a longer journey.
The original K6 has a Micro-Lock arrangement for controlled airflow with the visor still fastened. A replacement mechanism, a small detent component and a complete visor are different purchases. Compare the existing assembly and the product description, and follow the original instructions rather than forcing a part that does not align.
Removable lining and cheek pads support routine care. Note the original pad markings before ordering, and check that a replacement is listed for your model and size. A listing covering K6 and K6 S may establish compatibility for that particular component; it does not make their entire interiors or sizing systems identical.
Check the helmet's condition, fastening, liner seating and visor seal together. New comfort pads and a clear screen can refresh everyday use, but cannot undo impact damage or establish the history of a used helmet. Keep the original K6 approval details separate from later K6 S claims when deciding whether the helmet suits your intended riding.
Visit our showroom with your riding glasses and gloves. We can help assess the AGV K6 fit or check the details of a replacement component before you choose.
