The AGV K5 name spans different generations of full-face road helmet. The ECE 22.06 K5 uses a composite-fibre shell and an internal sun visor, but its specification and components should be kept separate from the earlier K5 and K5 S.
Read the full model and approval information rather than relying on the K5 name or graphics. The current ECE 22.06 design and older versions require their own specifications. This is especially important when ordering an outer visor, liner or communication accessory.
AGV specifies a GT8 visor with a Microlock system and a City Position on the ECE 22.06 K5. The internal sun visor has two height settings. Check the controls with gloves and your usual eyewear before deciding whether the arrangement suits your riding.
A composite shell and aerodynamic shape do not remove the need for an individual fit check. Fasten the double-D strap and assess forehead, cheek and neck contact in your riding position. Check that glasses sit naturally without pressure from the lining.
Use the exact compatibility listing for the helmet and accessory together. Do not transfer older K5 or K5 S visor references to the newer design. If adding communications, check the approved installation arrangement and what is supplied separately before planning the setup.
Visit our showroom with your riding glasses and gloves. We can help assess the AGV K5 fit or check the details of a replacement component before you choose.
