AGV K5 S helmets sit in the sport-road category, with a full-face shell and everyday ownership features worth checking carefully. Fit and visibility matter as much as the chosen finish, especially when selecting replacement screens or refreshing the interior.
Try the K5 S while looking ahead in the posture you use on the motorcycle. Check that the opening gives you a comfortable view without lifting the helmet away from its natural position. The helmet should remain secure when fastened rather than relying on a tight spot at the forehead.
The K5 S manual describes different visor-opening mechanisms for touring, race and city use. Their detents change how the shield opens; they are not interchangeable with every AGV mechanism. If replacing one, identify the existing configuration and use the manufacturer's instructions.
Cheek pads, crown padding and the wind protector are separate components in the manual. Match the K5 S reference and appropriate size before ordering. Replacement comfort padding should restore the intended fit, not disguise damage or make an unsuitable shell size seem acceptable.
An outer visor, anti-fog insert and internal shade are different purchases. Confirm the precise visor and insert pairing and read any usage markings on tinted finishes. Keep K5 S distinct from K5 and K5 Jet when selecting parts, even if some accessories have shared compatibility.
Visit our showroom with your riding glasses and gloves. We can help assess the AGV K5 S fit or check the details of a replacement component before you choose.
