AGV K3 is a full-face road-helmet name that spans more than one generation. The ECE 22.06 K3 combines a thermoplastic shell, an internal sun visor and a steel micrometric fastening. Use the complete model and approval details when comparing a helmet or buying parts, particularly alongside older K3 and K3 SV versions.
The ECE 22.06 K3 has adjustable forehead and chin-bar ventilation, an outer visor with staged opening and a separately operated sun shade. During a fitting, check the controls with gloves and use your normal eyewear. These practical checks help establish whether the layout works for commuting as well as longer rides.
A K3 label on its own is not enough to select a screen. The newer ECE 22.06 model uses its own visor and interior parts, so compare the helmet label and replacement reference. Check the correct anti-fog insert and size rather than assuming an older K3 SV screen or pad will fit.
AGV has a preventive assistance campaign for specified K3 E2206 helmets manufactured in 2022, concerning the micrometric buckle latch. Owners should follow the manufacturer's serial-number and manufacturing-date checks and contact the supplying dealer or AGV if affected. The notice applies to particular batches, rather than every K3 helmet.
The K3's range of cheek-pad thicknesses provides fitting options, but a different pad cannot make an unsuitable shell fit correctly. Start with the model's size guide, then check stability and pressure with the strap secured. Keep removable comfort materials clean according to the instructions and check that every fitting is properly reattached afterwards.
Visit our showroom with your riding glasses and gloves. We can help assess the AGV K3 fit or check the details of a replacement component before you choose.
