The AGV K1 is a full-face helmet built around a thermoplastic shell and a sports-influenced shape. Selecting equipment for it means distinguishing the original K1 from the later K1 S, even where a particular spare is explicitly listed for both.
Use the exact name on the helmet when comparing specifications or parts. A shared cheek-pad listing does not make the K1 and K1 S identical helmets, and a later model's approval or test result should not be applied to the original.
Try the helmet in your usual riding position and practise operating the outer visor with gloves. The K1 manual describes catches and a locking slider in its visor mechanism. A replacement screen should engage properly on both sides and move securely through its intended positions.
Crown padding supports the top of the head while cheek pads provide support around the face. These are separate replacement components. Compare the size and exact part reference, and do not use a loosely fitting interior simply because it is easier to put on.
The spoiler and ventilation trim form part of the helmet's external layout. Inspect their fixings after cleaning or replacing a component. Follow the model instructions and avoid improvised adhesives or modifications to the protective shell.
Visit our showroom with your riding glasses and gloves. We can help assess the AGV K1 fit or check the details of a replacement component before you choose.
