The AGV AX8 name covers a family with different road and off-road arrangements. Understanding the exact designation, including Dual, Evo or Naked where present, is the first step when comparing a helmet or looking after one you already own.
AGV's AX8 family includes designs with different peak and visor arrangements. Do not infer that a shield or peak fits every AX8 from the family name alone. Check the helmet label, original instructions and component reference together.
The illustrations show AX8 Dual visors and an AX8 chin vent. They explain different maintenance needs, not a universal conversion kit. A vent channels air, while a visor provides the viewing surface; changing one does not solve a fault in the other.
Before ordering a replacement, establish whether the issue is a scratched screen, damaged fixing or worn mechanism. AGV's Dual-family instructions identify the visor and its mounting hardware separately. Do not force a component into place because the holes appear close enough.
Consider eye protection, peak clearance and head movement in your normal riding position. Follow the instructions for the particular AX8 variant when assembling its equipment. A different set of accessories does not change the helmet's original approval or restore a damaged shell.
Visit our showroom with your riding glasses and gloves. We can help assess the AGV AX8 fit or check the details of a replacement component before you choose.
