Held body armour includes different ways to add impact protection to a motorcycle outfit. Wearable protectors, garment inserts and airbag systems are not interchangeable. Begin with the body area you want to cover and the clothing you already use, then verify compatibility and the exact protection specification.

Held Exosafe Vest Black — Exosafe vest: wearable torso protection.

Held D3O CP2 Level 2 Full Chest Protector Orange — CP2: a separate chest insert.

Held D3O Diablo Level 2 Hip Protector Orange - Pair — Diablo hip protectors: joint-area inserts.

Match an insert to its pocket

Check the recommended protector part number, size and shape against the garment instructions. A piece that can be squeezed into a pocket is not necessarily suitable. Use the correct orientation and retention arrangement, and make sure the insert stays over the intended area when you move into a riding position.

Compare protection without mixing ratings

Read the marking on each component and the manufacturer's description of its intended use. D3O identifies Held Exosafe as a dedicated collaboration using its impact-protection materials. That does not make every Held insert identical, or mean a protector's rating describes the abrasion performance of the jacket around it.

Allow for the complete system

Try wearable armour with the jacket and layers you intend to use. For an electronic airbag, consult its own instructions for compatible clothing, activation, charging, servicing and any account requirements. Do not assume a conventional protector vest has those functions. After damage or a significant impact, follow the manufacturer's inspection and replacement advice before relying on the component again.
