Dainese base layers help you build comfort beneath motorcycle clothing. The useful choice is between moisture management, insulation and wind resistance, followed by the shape that works under your outer kit. Tops, leggings and one-piece layers serve different dressing preferences; extra thickness is not automatically the best solution.

Dainese Dry Long Sleeves Base Layer Top Grey — Dry long-sleeved top: a moisture-management layer.

Dainese Thermo Long Sleeves Base Layer Top Black — Thermo long-sleeved top: a colder-weather illustration.

Dainese Dry Ladies One Piece Base Layer Suit Grey — Dry ladies one-piece layer: a suit-style option.

Choose the function before the format

Dainese’s technical innerwear distinguishes Dry products for moisture management from Thermo designs that add insulation. No-Wind Thermo garments introduce wind-blocking material for another role. Match the exact garment to your outer clothing and the conditions rather than treating every base layer as interchangeable. A thermal layer cannot make a ventilated jacket waterproof.

Check the fit beneath your riding clothes

Try a close, comfortable fit that lets you bend at the elbows, hips and knees. Watch for gathered fabric behind joints and bulky overlaps at the waist or cuffs. A one-piece layer reduces the separate waistband junction, while separates make it easier to change just one part. Check sleeve and leg length in your normal riding position.

Keep comfort and impact protection distinct

Ordinary technical underwear is not a substitute for motorcycle armour or a protective outer garment. An armoured base-layer product needs its own protection and compatibility assessment. Follow the care label for the particular fabric, and allow enough drying time between rides. The photographs illustrate different layer formats, not a promise that each is suitable for every season.
