AGV helmet visors need to match the helmet, the shield system and, on some models, the shell-size group. Choose an outer visor for visibility and weather coverage, then check any separate anti-fog insert or internal sun visor against its own compatibility reference.
AGV uses several visor families rather than one universal shield. The UK distributor's K1 S parts diagram, for example, lists GT4 visors and the associated mechanism. Names such as Race, GT and SP identify different systems, so an attractive finish is a second decision after fitment. Record your full model name and size before comparing listings.
A visor can be offered in more than one size even when the helmet name is unchanged. AGV's regional accessory catalogue separates GT4 and GT6 options into size groups. Match the complete reference, including any suffix, to the product's helmet list. Do not transfer compatibility from an older K3 to a newer generation just because both carry K3 in the name.
Clear, tinted and mirrored finishes address light transmission; an anti-fog insert addresses condensation. Pinlock-ready describes mounting provision, not an automatic promise that an insert is supplied. Check the insert shape and reference, package contents and visor markings. Choose visibility appropriate to the journey, including the return trip after daylight fades.
A new visor should locate on both pivots, move normally and close against the seal as its manual describes. If the mechanism is damaged, replacing the shield alone may not solve poor closure. Ask for help with the helmet model and photographs of the old part rather than forcing a similar-looking replacement.
Visit our showroom with the riding kit you normally use. We can help compare fit, check how separate pieces work together and identify the right model before you choose.
