Product Details
The Schuberth C5 in Concrete Grey is a premium flip-up motorcycle helmet designed for touring, commuting and long days on the road. It combines ECE-R 22.06 approval with P/J dual homologation, a compact composite shell, a wide clear visor, an integrated sun visor and a comfort system that can be adapted to the rider.
Safety and shell construction
- ECE-R 22.06 approved: certified to the current European motorcycle helmet standard.
- P/J dual homologation: approved in both the closed full-face configuration and the open jet configuration. Always follow the helmet instructions and local road rules.
- DFP composite shell: Schuberth's Direct Fibre Processing fibreglass construction is reinforced with carbon fibre for strength, impact performance and controlled weight.
- Multi-density EPS: the impact-absorbing liner uses different densities in the main and side areas.
- Reinforced chin-bar lock: the locking mechanism is made from glass-fibre-reinforced plastic for lower weight and easier operation.
- Anti-Roll-Off-System: Schuberth's A.R.O.S. works with the chin strap to help keep the helmet correctly positioned.
Vision and everyday usability
- First-class clear outer visor designed for a wide, distortion-free field of view
- Pre-installed Pinlock® 120 anti-fog lens
- Integrated drop-down sun visor with two-position adjustment
- City Position for a small visor opening when extra airflow is needed at low speed
- Visor Memory Function retains the selected visor position when the chin bar is opened and closed
- Quick-release chin-strap fastening for touring convenience
Ventilation, comfort and noise management
The C5 uses dual chin air intakes, including a washable and replaceable filter, together with uncovered EPS channels and a rear spoiler air extractor. The fully removable and washable seamless lining uses Oeko-Tex® 100-certified fabrics, while the winter/summer head pad and dedicated glasses channels support year-round touring comfort.
Schuberth developed the C5 in its own wind tunnel. The manufacturer records approximately 85 dB(A) at 100 km/h on a naked motorcycle under its test conditions. Actual noise varies with the motorcycle, screen, riding position, fit and conditions, so suitable hearing protection should still be worn.
SC2 communication preparation
The helmet is prepared for Schuberth's optional SC2 communication system. HD speakers, the cable harness and antennas for FM radio, Bluetooth intercom and Mesh intercom are already installed in the helmet. The SC2 control and battery modules, plus its plug-in boom microphone, are not supplied with this helmet and must be purchased separately.
Schuberth C5 size guide
Measure around the widest part of your head, keeping the tape level above the eyebrows and ears. Choose the corresponding Schuberth helmet size, then confirm the fit in person where possible.
| Helmet size | Head circumference |
|---|---|
| XS | 53 cm |
| S | 55 cm |
| M | 57 cm |
| L | 59 cm |
| XL | 61 cm |
| XXL | 63 cm |
| 3XL | 65 cm |
The Schuberth INDIVIDUAL concept supports alternative model-specific head and cheek pads for selected fit adjustments. Head-pad customisation is available for M, L and XL. Fit changes should be assessed carefully, as a motorcycle helmet must remain evenly secure without painful pressure points.
