The Oxford Mint Motorcycle Detailing Kit is designed for the finishing and protection stages of motorcycle care. It combines two 500 ml treatments with two soft microfibre towels and five detailing brushes, giving riders the tools to work around bodywork and awkward component areas after the motorcycle has been cleaned.
This is a detailing kit rather than a full wash, degreasing or chain-care set. The Silicone Detailer improves the appearance of clean surfaces, while the General Protectant leaves a light protective film that helps reduce moisture retention and dirt build-up.
Kit contents
- Mint Silicone Detailer, 500 ml: an oil-based detailer that reduces the appearance of minor blemishes, small cracks and scratches. It is a cosmetic finishing product and does not repair surface damage.
- Mint General Protectant, 500 ml: a hydrophobic, film-forming treatment for suitable motorcycle components. Oxford highlights it for storage care and for metal fasteners, rubber seals, moving parts and protected electronics.
- Ultra Softy Towels, two: seamless, non-abrasive microfibre towels for cleaning, polishing and waxing.
- Detailing Brushes, set of five: soft brushes for working gently around narrow gaps and awkward details.
Application guidance
- Clean and dry the motorcycle before applying either treatment, and always follow the label and safety data for the specific product.
- For the Silicone Detailer, shake the can, apply it to a clean surface and buff with a lint-free or microfibre cloth.
- For the General Protectant, shake the can, spray it onto suitable surface panels and wipe until no residue remains.
- Keep General Protectant away from all brake and chain components. Oxford states this explicitly because a film-forming product must not contaminate those areas.
- Use separate clean towels where needed so dirt or product residue is not transferred between surfaces.
