LS2 MX701 Explorer / Explorer Carbon Iridium Blue Outer Visor
Genuine LS2 iridium blue replacement outer face shield for the MX701 Explorer visor system. It is scratch resistant, optically correct and equipped for tool-free removal.
Compatibility
- Confirmed models: LS2 MX701 Explorer with the HPFC shell and LS2 MX701 Explorer Carbon.
- Current generation: LS2 lists reference 800701VIS17 for both current ECE 22.06 helmet families.
- Earlier generation: the same reference is documented for the earlier MX701 Explorer visor family. Match the visor reference before ordering for an ECE 22.05 helmet.
- Manufacturer part number: 800701VIS17.
- Size: one unsized visor across the documented shell groups.
Current shell groups: Explorer HPFC uses XS-S, M-L and XL-3XL. Explorer Carbon uses XS-S, M-L and XL-2XL-3XL. These are helmet shell groups, not visor sizes.
Pinlock Compatibility
This is a Pinlock-ready rigid outer visor. The compatible anti-fog insert is Pinlock 70 Max Vision DKS407, LS2 reference 800400025, sold separately unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Part distinction: this is the main iridium blue outer face shield. It is not the flexible DKS407 Pinlock insert, the internal drop-down sun visor or the removable adventure peak.
Visibility note: an iridium visor reduces transmitted light and is intended for suitable bright daytime conditions. Check applicable road-use requirements and change to a clear visor before riding in darkness or poor visibility.
Care
Soften dirt with lukewarm water, then clean gently with mild soap and a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, alcohol or chemical solvents, and do not rub the iridium coating.
