Safety and construction

The Strobe II is certified to ECE 22.06 P/J. P/J approval means the helmet has been homologated for use with the chin bar closed and in its approved open position. Always make sure the chin bar is fully locked before riding in either configuration and follow the instructions supplied with the helmet.

LS2 uses a KPA shell over a multi-density EPS liner. The chin bar has a dedicated locking mechanism, while the retention system combines a metal micrometric buckle with a reinforced chin strap. The current manufacturer-listed weight is 1,700 g ±50 g; actual weight can vary by shell and size.

Visor, sun visor and ventilation

The quick-release clear visor is scratch resistant and UV resistant. It is shaped for a Pinlock 70 MaxVision anti-fog insert, while the separate internal sun visor can be lowered when light levels increase. LS2 lists the Pinlock 70 insert as an accessory, so it is sold separately and is not listed as supplied with this helmet.

Adjustable chin and top vents direct air through channels in the EPS towards the rear exhaust. A breath deflector helps manage airflow around the visor area.

Comfort and communication

The breathable, hypoallergenic lining uses laser-cut foam and an elastic-strap top-liner arrangement. It is removable and washable for easier care after regular commuting or touring use. The shell is prepared for the separately available LS2 Intercom Spectrum; the intercom is not included.
