Disc compatibility and correct use
This is not a universal-fit claim. Before ordering, measure a suitable opening in the brake disc and the clearance around it. The coated shackle needs space for its full 17 mm diameter, while the 41 mm lock-body width must also clear the wheel, caliper and surrounding components. Fit the lock only where it can close fully without loading a fragile part of the disc.
A brake-disc lock prevents the wheel from rotating, but it does not attach the motorcycle to a fixed object. For longer parking or a higher-risk location, ABUS recommends combining it with a suitable chain or another fixed-point lock. A separate reminder cable can help prevent an attempted ride-away with the disc lock fitted.
