THOR body armour covers several separate types of off-road equipment, including chest protectors, knee and elbow guards, a support belt and a model-specific Sentinel number plate. Each protects or supports a different area, so the exact product type and certification matter more than a general armour label.
Moto Central stocks adult and youth options alongside THOR helmets, jerseys, pants and boots. This makes it easier to check how the protection works with the rest of an off-road kit.
Sentinel Pro is a stand-alone chest-protector design, while Sentry Stealth and Sentry XP2 use different garment-style constructions. The current THOR range also contains roost-deflector terminology. A roost deflector and a certified impact protector are not automatically the same thing, so check the individual product description, marking and instructions.
THOR currently lists Sentinel Pro as tested and certified to EN 1621-3:2018. That statement applies to the named model and its stated chest-protector function. Do not extend it to every Sentry, Sentinel accessory or guard in the collection.
Knee guards should stay centred over the joint when standing, crouching and sitting on the bike. Adult and youth versions use different proportions, and the correct strap tension should hold the guard without restricting circulation. Elbow guards need the same movement check beneath or over the intended jersey.
The Guardian support belt is not a replacement for chest, back or limb impact protection. The clear Sentinel number plate is an accessory for compatible armour, not a protective product in its own right.
Measure against the product-specific THOR chart. For chest protectors, consider both chest girth and torso height where supplied. Shoulder sections should sit in place, the lower edge should not press into the throat when seated and straps should not be at the limit of adjustment.
Decide whether a chest protector is intended to sit over or under the jersey, then choose the jersey size around that system. Check helmet clearance at the back of the neck and make sure the top of the protector does not lift the helmet. Knee guards must also work with the cut of your THOR pants and the upper of your boots.
After use, follow the cleaning instructions for the exact materials and allow the equipment to dry away from direct heat. Inspect shells, pads, mesh, straps, buckles and stitching. Replace any component after a significant impact when required by the manufacturer, or when damage, distortion or worn retention could affect its position.
Moto Central's focused THOR range makes it possible to compare chest, knee and elbow options without confusing accessories with protection. For alternatives across brands, browse the wider motorcycle body armour collection.
No universal certification should be assumed. Check the exact product marking and listing. THOR specifically states EN 1621-3:2018 for Sentinel Pro.
