Over Gloves

Motorcycle over gloves add a packable weather barrier over your normal riding gloves. This focused Moto Central collection currently includes five-finger rain covers and three-finger or mitten-style designs from Bike It, Spada and Held.
An over glove does not replace the protection or secure wrist fastening of the glove beneath it. Its job is to help shield that glove from rain and wind, making it a useful backup when the forecast is uncertain.

Five-finger or three-finger over gloves?
Five-finger designs
Each finger moves independently, which can feel more familiar at the clutch, brake and switches. The cover still needs enough room to slide over the underlying glove without pulling tightly across the knuckles.
Three-finger and mitten designs
Grouping some fingers reduces seams and can simplify the weather shell. Spend time practising with the controls before relying on this format in poor conditions.
How to choose the right size
Size an over glove around the complete riding glove, not your bare hand. Put on the gloves you intend to use underneath, then check the maker's sizing for the cover. It should pull on without a struggle and must not compress armour, restrict finger movement or tighten when you close your hand around a grip.
Fasten the cuff over or beneath your jacket sleeve as the product allows. Check that the combination does not leave a gap, bunch around the wrist or interfere with the jacket closure. If you switch between thin summer gloves and bulky winter gloves, one overshell size may not suit both.
Control check: after fitting the over gloves, operate the throttle, clutch, front brake, indicators and visor before setting off. Do not use a cover that slips, twists or makes a control difficult to reach.
What an over glove can and cannot do
The current products are weather covers rather than stand-alone protective motorcycle gloves. Keep wearing a properly fitted riding glove underneath, and check the individual product page for its exact waterproof construction, cuff adjustment and sizing.
Pack the covers dry and inspect them before a trip. Worn palm areas, damaged seams or failed cuff adjustment can reduce their usefulness. After a wet ride, remove them from the main gloves and allow both layers to dry according to their care instructions.
Why buy over gloves from Moto Central?
Moto Central brings the small current range together so you can compare five-finger, claw and pull-over formats without mistaking them for ordinary riding gloves. Our team can help you check the cover over your existing glove and jacket cuff, either in the Wolvey showroom or before ordering online.
Motorcycle over glove questions
Can I wear over gloves on their own?
These are weather covers. Wear a suitable protective motorcycle glove underneath and confirm the intended use on the exact product page.
Should I buy my normal glove size?
Not automatically. Size the cover over the glove you will actually wear, then confirm that your fingers and wrist can move freely.
Are three-finger mitts harder to use?
They feel different from five-finger gloves. Practise using every control and choose the format that gives you secure, predictable operation.
Will one pair fit summer and winter gloves?
Possibly, but a bulky insulated glove needs more space than a light summer glove. Test both combinations rather than assuming.
