What the Mips system does

Getting the fit right
A secure, even fit is fundamental. Measure the widest part of your head using the manufacturer’s instructions, then use the size chart for the exact model. The helmet should feel firm all around without isolated pressure points, and it should not rotate freely when the fastened chin strap is secure.

After fit and format, compare shell construction, shell-size range, visor mechanism, peak, ventilation, lining, fastener and available replacement parts. Pinlock lenses, dark visors, breath guards, chin curtains and speaker recesses are not supplied with every helmet.
